Dishub Ready to Transform Muara Angke Into International Port

As City Council's Special Committee (Pansus) for Muara Angke Port Arrangement's wish, Jakarta Transportation Dept. (Dishub) is ready to transform Muara Angke Port, in Penjaringan, North Jakarta, to have an international standard.

Pansus wants it to become international port. We should be thanked if we have an authority to do that

"Pansus wants it to become international port. We should be thanked if we have an authority to do that," said Andri Yansyah, Head of Jakarta Dishub, at City Council Building, Tuesday (10/24).

Muara Angke Port Revitalization will Start in 2018

For early phase, his side will re-survey the Port Master Plan (RIP) which made in 2016. Because, due to Pansus recommendation, port space will be added from two into five hectares.

"RIP just mentions it as passenger's port only and it also has minimalist condition," he explained.

His side admitted, port condition is not representative anymore with residents and tourists needs in weekend. Although, port's condition is still good.

"Currently, public interest has been so high. Thus it is needed to be widened," he closed.
